Ingredients
Boneless or bone-in prime rib
Olive oil or softened unsalted butter enough to coat roast
Kinders Prime Rib Rub
Instructions
Preheat oven to 125c
Trim off any unwanted bits of fat on prime rib to personal preference
Coat entire roast in olive oil or softened, unsalted butter
Generously season roast with Kinder’s Prime Rib Rub, including all sides and edges
Place on roasting rack and cook at 125c for 2 hours
Check internal temp using meat thermometer. Once thickest part of the roast registers at 45c to 50c remove from oven and cover loosely with foil
Increase oven temp to 200c and place roast back in once preheated
Check internal temp after approximately 5 to 10 minutes and repeat until meat registers
52c Rare
57c medium Rare
62c Medium
68c Medium Well
71c Well Done
Remove from oven and allow at least 20 minutes to rest. Residual heat will finish cooking and bring roast to up another 5c
